Assignment 2: Unit project - Part B

Information and communication system is an important part of successful implementation of projects and programs. The wider options and choices are available in front of managers and directors in order to enhance the technology in information and communication system. Information and communication technology is the wider form of technology with more  advancement in technology  and extended channels. The trend of electric cars has increased. Recharge stations are used for the purpose of charging the vehicles. In the literature review discussion has been made about the limitations which are being faced by the recharge stations, measures which can be adopted for overcoming these limitations, past or history of recharge stations and different aspects related to recharge stations. In the assignment 1, data or information collected with the help of secondary sources of data collection has been presented so as to discuss the different aspects of the topic.

Methodology to analyse the project on information and communication system acquisition strategy and model:

Research Methods:

Research is done to explore an idea, find a solution to a problem, forecasting of a statement and to make an argument through external sources and help. Research methods are basically divided into two parts. Qualitative methods involve the process of planning of the strategies and models that used in the project and observing and analyzing the observations on the basis of the qualitative data. Qualitative methods in research methodology are very effective as one cannot quantify everything and if quantify the accurate results cannot be obtained (Berger, 2015).

The qualitative data is used in the prepared report on the project on information and communication system. Qualitative methods involve deep study and evaluation of the data collected from different sources and then an evaluation has been made on the basis of the data collected (Clark, 2013).

Quantitative methods involve both theoretical as well as practical knowledge of the project on information and communication techniques. It includes statistical methods, economic methods and risk analysis of the ongoing project. The qualitative techniques through using modern managerial techniques will solve the obstacles comes in part of information and communication system (Clark, 2013).

Qualitative methods of research are used in this project which involves case studies and logical reasoning in the preparation of the final report. The construction of plans and policies are in qualitative terms in order to maintain the effectiveness of the project.

Research strategies:

The prior strategy is the framework of a strategic planning to conduct a project on information and communication system. The various systems and service lines have been prepared according to the structure prepared in strategic planning. Secondary sources have been used for the effective performance of ICT project. The strategy used in the project is to maintain sequence in the activities of the project so that no important activity can be skipped from the project. No activity is skipped in order to minimize the error while doing a collection of data in this report (Mertens, 2014).

Research Model:

Research models have been using for several purposes in an information and communication technology for efficiently implementing the plans which give maximum profit and advantage to the company. Different theoretical models have been used have been used in the literature of information and communication system. Research models are the general expressions of the particular projects. These are based on the overall structure of the project in information and communication system. Several research methods are traditional models also known as empiricist models, and naturalistic models also known as naturalistic models (Pickard, 2013). Quantitative models of research methodology are unbiased while qualitative models of research methodology are biased. Research models are used for identification of the problem, training, and experience. Qualitative models of research have been adopted while preparing this report and all the activities involved in this report are in quality and theoretical terms.

Research approaches:

The major four approaches in the research methodology are quantitative research, qualitative research, mixed approach to research and participatory approach to research.

1.Quantitative research is the collection and conversion of data into a numerical form to made the statistical conclusions. Data is collected by different methods and then evaluated through statistical analysis (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

2.Qualitative research is based on the collection of the theory on behalf of the prepared data and then evaluation has made. The qualitative approach of research is more flexible than the quantitative approach to research in the projects and strategies model used in information and communication system.

3.Mixed approach of research is an independent approach which can use the techniques, principles, and methods of both quantitative and qualitative approach to research. There are no specifications in mixed research approach (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

4.A participatoryapproach to research does not involve any theoretical and practical evaluation. Their research is converted into a reform for the particular ongoing project. They analyzing all the approaches and prepared a critical report of the project.

In this project qualitative approach to research has been used as all the information is collected in theoretical terms and does not involves statistical statements. All the methods and techniques used in this report are in qualitative terms. The evaluation has been done on the basis of collecting data which is in theoretical terms and easy analysis has been done on the basis of that data (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

Data collection and analysis

The data involves in any project is segmented into two parts; primary data and secondary data. Primary data is the first-hand data collected through observation, experiments. Secondary data is the data which is collected by someone else and comes for executions like the data collected from books, magazines, newspapers.

Primary data is provided from the raw information. Primary data cannot be used for further processing. If it is processed then it is converted into secondary data. The sources of  primary data  can be questionnaire survey and direct feedbacks (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

The sources of secondary data are books, newspapers, magazines, articles, journals, publishers. The secondary data is further processed and can be used as per the demand.

In this project, secondary data has been used from internet sources, articles and magazines. Primary data is not available and used in any activity of this project. The main focus is only on the collection of the data from the secondary sources and used them efficiently in the report in order to obtain accurate results. As all the report is prepared from the secondary sources the further evaluation has also been done on the basis of secondary sources (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

Techniques and procedures:

The technique and procedure used in the project of information and communication system are a random selection of the sample. Random sampling is a technique for the selection of data from a large number of populations. It is also a very popular technique in the selection of data.  In a random selection of the sample, the selection is made from a large number of units and all the samples in the universe have an equal chance of selecting. In this project, random sampling has done directly from the internet, magazines, and articles. The data collected from random selection has been used and processed according to the requirement of this project (Taylor, et. al., 2015).

There are wider choices and options available in the project like primary sources of data collection, using questionnaire method of survey and qualitative approach to research which involves statistical methods and techniques for determination of the accurate results.

Time frame:

The important part of the methodology process of the strategies and model of the information and communication project is the time duration. The precise time has utilized in the above-discussed activities for the successful preparation of the report of the project (Venkatesh, et. al., 2013). All the activities are completed in the given lapse of time. The project will be more effectively planned if the duration of time will be more.

Ethical consideration:

Confidentiality is maintained in all the above performed activities and an honest report is prepared on the basis of the secondary sources of the data collection generated from the internet and web sources. The ethical code of conduct is performed by the managers while working on this project and no theory and statement are misused in the prepared report (Wilson, 2013).

Questionnaire method can be used for accuracy but it is not included in the secondary sources of data collection. Statistical methods can be used as the accuracy of results is more in statistical methods. The time period is less for effective evaluation of the activities performed. If more time is given, the activities are more effectively organized and performed for maximum accuracy.
